{"id":1638,"date":"2026-03-13T15:53:06","date_gmt":"2026-03-13T15:53:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/evren.info\/?p=1638"},"modified":"2026-03-13T15:55:44","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T15:55:44","slug":"transition-to-5g-on-april-1st","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/evren.info\/en\/transition-to-5g-on-april-1st\/","title":{"rendered":"Transition to 5G on April 1st."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have a 5G-compatible device, to switch to 5G with your respective operator:<br>If your line is Turkcell: You can change your subscription settings through the Turkcell app or activate the service by texting &#8220;5G&#8221; to 2200.<br>If your line is Vodafone: You can change your subscription settings through the Vodafone app or activate the service by texting &#8220;5G&#8221; to 7000.<br>If your line is T\u00fcrk Telekom: You can change your subscription settings through the T\u00fcrk Telekom app or activate the service by texting &#8220;5G&#8221; to 5555.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After activating 5G with your operator, you also need to activate 5G on your device via &#8220;Settings &gt; Network settings&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you purchased your SIM card within the last 6-8 months, you don&#8217;t need to change it; you will automatically switch to 5G on April 1, 2026. If your SIM card is old, you won&#8217;t see the 5G option in the &#8220;Network settings&#8221; section. If 5G isn&#8217;t among the options, you&#8217;ll need to replace it at your nearest phone retailer. SIM card replacement prices range from approximately 200 TL.
