If you have a 5G-compatible device, to switch to 5G with your respective operator:
If your line is Turkcell: You can change your subscription settings through the Turkcell app or activate the service by texting “5G” to 2200.
If your line is Vodafone: You can change your subscription settings through the Vodafone app or activate the service by texting “5G” to 7000.
If your line is Türk Telekom: You can change your subscription settings through the Türk Telekom app or activate the service by texting “5G” to 5555.

After activating 5G with your operator, you also need to activate 5G on your device via “Settings > Network settings”.

If you purchased your SIM card within the last 6-8 months, you don’t need to change it; you will automatically switch to 5G on April 1, 2026. If your SIM card is old, you won’t see the 5G option in the “Network settings” section. If 5G isn’t among the options, you’ll need to replace it at your nearest phone retailer. SIM card replacement prices range from approximately 200 TL. If you don’t use mobile signature, a 64K SIM card is sufficient; if you do, you’ll need a 128K SIM card, which costs the same.
